From going to university, living in different cities and then lucky enough to travel different countries, I was used to organising my things for moving and quite often had to travel light. I started to appreciate what I had that I actually really needed and what I actually used. I had a one-in one-out rule when space was tight, either donating or selling things I didn't have use for. And trust me I love shopping for my home, wardrobe, kitchen and cats! I had to get strict on myself and this is where I became good at organising and decluttering for myself and others along the way!
Was I always this way? No! Most will tell you this. However, I had to regularly adjust and create systems for myself that worked so I could find things quickly and remove any stress from my day to day schedule. For me it came down to learning and creating new habits that I would stick to and that ultimately led me to help others along the way. I've taken specific and in-depth courses, completed hours of real life training and I'm always keeping myself up to speed with the newest and latest tips when it comes to organising and decluttering.
From working in great marketing, hospitality and travel industry style jobs, I loved them all but started to think long term about what I enjoyed doing most. I'm also big on donation and giving things a second life, which isn't only great for those in need but for the environment too!
This is what led me to creating Organised Home and Mind. My business; not only a passion and a great way to help people but something I actually love doing.

Not having to look in five different drawers for a pen that works or pulling out your whole wardrobe to find your favourite top is a big time saver when you are organised and helps relieve that frustration
If you have a family, you're tight for space or have a room which is starting to look smaller by the day, freeing up that space can give you the physical and mental clarity to breathe and feel less overwhelmed
Organising, decluttering and returning order to a space physically can also have this effect mentally. It brings a positive focus to your mind, allowing you to concentrate on what matters to you most in life
We're all guilty of duplicate purchases and having an organised system can help you reduce extra costs, wastage and even bring a higher level of gratitude to the items you currently own
De-cluttering and organising is also a great opportunity to give back through donations. A second life for your unwanted items may become another persons treasure. You may also have items you can sell on!
By organising and decluttering your house before moving, you can save time, energy and money. You can focus on the bigger things and get ahead of your move so it becomes less stressful and feels less rushed
If you've found me, you've already made the first step. There may be just one space, a wardrobe, kitchen, play room or numerous areas that need tackling. We all experience times where we need that extra bit of guidance!
You may work long hours, have a family to care for, a new house to move to or hobbies and interests that come first. We all have busy times in our life time and sometimes taking that workload off your shoulders can be all the help you need
Too many things? Not had chance to declutter? Kids moved out or a new family members moved in? If you are starting to feel uncomfortable in the space you have left in your home, organising and decluttering can help you to restore order
Organising and decluttering can be a big task when you have other things on the go and starting can be the biggest job. It could be weighing you down so you push it further down the to-do list until it falls off. That's where I come in
Clutter can effect us all in different ways. Becoming stressed and overwhelmed is never a good sign and can make you feel powerless in your own home. That's where it needs to change. Live in your own home on your terms and become free from change
You may just need help to get started or even finish spaces that are weighing you down. You may just need an extra pair of hands, an outsiders view, a professional or someone who is going to listen to your needs and guide you through the process
Once you are ready to take the next step the initial consultation is free.
We will talk through your needs, goals, pricing and even any worries or questions you may have.
